Job Description
Position DescriptionMechanical Engineering Subject Matter Expert to provide response to the Tier 1 recommendations from NRC for the Fukushima project. Has superior knowledge in the mechanical engineering discipline, plant system interaction, and good knowledge of Industry codes, and regulations specifically related to the Fukushima Effort. Functions with recognized industry level of expertise in the mechanical discipline area. Has good knowledge in the design and configuration management areas. Position Scope:Develop proposal for modification, analysis required for Fukushima Projects for Tier 1 recommendationsProvide guidance, and coordinate the proposal with the fleet lead engineers and the Engineer Of Choice and the IndustryProvide oversight and mentor to the lead responsible engineers at the site involved on the Fukushima Project implementationParticipate in the industry and NRC meetings to influence the appropriate outcome for the industryPOSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:1. B. S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related science or Professional Engineering Registration2. Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in the nuclear power generation field3. In depth knowledge of the systems/design engineering functions at a nuclear power generating facilityPreferred:1. Professional Engineering Registration, advanced technical degree or coursework2. Hold, or previously held, a SRO License or certificationNote: This position is needed to address lessons learned from Fukushima. The Lead Engineer position will particpate in industry activities to develop value added cost effective plant modifications required to address lessons learned. *LI-PP! ****Based on background and experience this position can be filled with either an E04 or E03 Engineer level.
