Seeking a 2nd shift CNC Machinist (normal work schedule Monday through Thursday 3:00 pm to 1:30 am.). Set-up and operation of computer numerical controlled (CNC) horizontal machining centers and 5-axis horizontals. Perform various milling, drilling, tapping, boring, facing and turning operations in a job shop environment. Work on component parts for heat exchangers, filter housings and tanks for the pharmaceutical and food industries.
Minimum of two (2) years experience in the setup and operation of manual and/or CNC milling or turning machines, horizontal boring mills or jig boring mills for heavy metal removal on small to medium parts and to produce component parts and assemblies OR Associate degree in machining.
Shop math knowledge including: the knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and their applications. Problem solving skills using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Language skills knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Active Listening.
Position requires standing, walking, fine manipulation, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, pushing and pulling and lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires working around moving parts, fumes, chemicals, electric and vibrations. Exposure to loud noises.
